The trial lesson is an opportunity for student and teacher to meet one another to determine if they are compatible with one another, without any long-term commitment. Parents are welcome to accompany children. If a longer lesson length is desired, that can be arranged after the initial 30-minute session.
Music has played an essential part in the life of Esti Prabowo. It flows in her veins—her family runs the Wien Muziek school in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her mother, an accomplished pianist in her own right, was her first teacher, and she began her piano training at the age of four. Ms. Prabowo continued her musical education with a loving and inspiring teacher and pianist, Aisha Sudiarso of Yayasan Pendidikan Musik, Indonesia. While there, she received numerous awards including the Award for Promising Performance, Golden Award for Solfeggio, Award for Excellent Technique, and Award for Outstanding Performance.
Ms. Prabowo earned her Master of Music degree in piano performance from Towson University under the guidance of Eva Mengelkoch and Reynaldo Reyes. While there, she served as a Teaching Assistant in Music Theory. Ms. Prabowo received first prize in the Henry Sanborn Music Scholarship Piano Competition in 2016, and first prize in the Reynaldo Reyes Endowed Scholarship Competition in 2019. An experienced chamber musician and accompanist, her performance credits include an appearance at Carnegie Hall in July of 2018.
Ms. Prabowo has been teaching piano since 2012. As a result of these years of experience, she recognizes that every student has unique strengths and goals, and delights in designing teaching approaches tailored to the needs of each student.
