The trial lesson is an opportunity for student and teacher to meet one another to determine if they are compatible with one another, without any long-term commitment. Parents are welcome to accompany children. If a longer lesson length is desired, that can be arranged after the initial 30-minute session.
Jen Easter began studying the violin at age 5, quickly followed by piano studies. She studied at the Peabody Preparatory for 10 years, and then was accepted to the Baltimore School for the Arts. Ms. Easter received her Bachelor in Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, and her Master of Music from Florida State University.
Ms. Easter has played with several major orchestras which include the New York City Opera, Baltimore Opera, Naples Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Savannah Symphony, Harrisburg Symphony, Columbus Symphony, and has toured internationally, including performances in Austria. She has performed with such acclaimed artists as Yo-Yo Ma, Hilary Hahn, Kathleen Battle, Pinchas Zukerman and André Watts.
Ms. Easter began teaching as a graduate student at Florida State University. While there, she taught private lessons and coached undergraduates in chamber music, a passion she retains to this day. Jen taught strings in both the Anne Arundel and Harford County Public Schools, and currently teaches at Harford Day School. Jen has taught private music lessons at Joyful Sounds School of Music (now Bel Air Music Studios) since 2002.
